I’m glad you’ve found my blog! First, I want to make it clear that I and my work stand with Black and Indigenous self-determination movements across the world. This includes the Land Back initiative and the Palestinian fight for survival and the restoration of their homeland. I completely and unequivocally condemn the genocide being perpetrated by Israel and facilitated by the United States against the Palestinian people. As a Black person living in the U.S., it's obvious that all of our battles are intertwined, from stopping Cop City in Atlanta to fighting for the people of Palestine, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Black and Indigenous people everywhere.
I love Black horror and I love Black history, so this project is where I talk about how those disciplines connect and where we can go as a community in the future. Black and Brown people belong in horror and, more than that, we deserve to survive to tell our own stories. I hope you’ll join me!
